Valentines Love Bomb – Day 10 – Paolita

It´s the last day of Valentines Love Bomb and it´s dedicated to Paolita. Can´t wait for Summer to wear one of their gorgeous designs to the beach because, oh yes, Paolita does amazing swimwear! But who knows when my next holiday will be, so instead will have to go glamorous by our neighbourhood´s heated outdoor swimming pool in the Nauti Fern swimsuit.

Today Paolita will be running three giveaways. To enter: Send them an email at lovebomb@paolita.co.uk with your first name and last name AND like their Facebook page:Paolitabeach .

The first winner will get to come to their boutique in Central London to meet Paolita’s designer and pick out a bikini or swimsuit from the 2012 collection (not yet in stores!). The second and third winners will win a lace hoodie in blush or baby blue.

I am getting quite sad that our Valentines Love Bomb is slowly coming to an end. But our Day 9 has made me smile again because it´s dedicated to Playful Promises! As even the name suggests, it´s cheeky and sexy lingerie at its best. Ever since I saw the images shot especially for our Love Bomb campaign, I have been lusting after the Etti set (as on image above). I am determined to get one for myself. So of course I will be taking part in their competition today to be able to win one for myself.

Playful Promises will pick 2 winners, and each winner will receive a set of Etti with a black underbust corset (as on the above image)!

I love Catherine! She does owe me a lingerie set but I still love her. Her energy is what makes Kiss Me Deadly such a success. I met her at my first ever London Fashion Week when we were positioned next to each other. Of course, that was also the most “eventful” trade show I´ve ever had, so being next to Catherine was probably the best thing that could have happened to me. She knows what I´m talking about. We ended up in vogue.com after all!

Valentines Love Bomb – Day 1 – What Katie Did

The first Love Bomb will be dropped on the fantastic What Katie Did (WKD). I think Katie is a role model for all young, aspiring lingerie designers as her brand was already founded in 1999 and it has gone from strength to strength, growing into a world’s leading brand of faux vintage lingerie.

Beginning of every year I promise myself to start dressing more ladylike. High heels, corsets, make-up etc. Of course that promise fades fast as I am quite lazy but thanks to WKD this year it might become reality. Browsing their website I felt I needed many of the pieces to make me feel exactly as I would like to, a bit more Marilyn for a change.

The Cabaret Torsolette(right on the above image) that will be presented to a lucky winner who signs up to WKD newsletter today was just one of the many styles that caught my eye. Still being torn between the black and peach options, I soon found myself lusting after the Fonda Bullet Bra. And then with all the Valentines commotion I thought that the Cabaret Velvet Sophia Corset was just something to die for!

With Valentines approaching fast Kriss Soonik has teamed up with 9 other amazing independent lingerie brands to shower you with love and gifts. If you think independent brands are in competition with each other then guess again. Seeing all the designers at every season´s trade show is like meeting your family after six months of separation. We keep lusting after each other’s designs and talking knickers all day long. So when Catherine from Kiss Me Deadly approached us with the idea of joining for the Independent Lingerie Brands Big Love-In for this Valentine´s, we were more than thrilled to jump on board.

So what really are independent or boutique brands? Boutique brands are usually the quirky designer brands that you find in small boutiques and department stores rather than mainstream shopping centres. We are not afraid to take risks and experiment with new ideas, many of which are picked up by the mainstream once sales figures are proved. Indie lingerie brands can be anything from one person companies making their own items up to companies that have quite a few employees but have grown up all on their own. The brands don´t have a massive corporation bankrolling them or the huge corporate megastructure that exists behind mainstream brands. We love our customers and it´s genuinely important to us to know what you think, as we´ll then create our new designs and tweak old ones based on your feedback. When for the big corporate brands dealing with customers has become quite automatic and lifeless then you´ll often speak directly to the designers at independent brands.

Starting on Monday 30th January, each day one independent lingerie brand will be offering a giveaway or competition, while the other 9 brands will explain exactly what they adore about the featured brand, and which item they would love to receive as a Valentines gift. We even put together a sumptuous photoshoot which you can already see on The Lingerie Addict´s blog and below.

On the 10th November 2011 Kriss Soonik hosted a live Christmas campaign photoshoot and press event in London Clerkenwell Frameless Gallery. The night and shoot were entitled “The Desperate Mousewife” with the star of the evening being the gorgeous mouse with a cat fetish.
