With the launch of this year's beach collection, we have picked the Wings Swimsuit as the next Kriss Soonik signature in our “10 years, 10 items” feature.

The Wings Swimsuit was born for the Spring/Summer 2015 collection when our first swimwear range got launched. The wings were not a new concept for us as it had been gracing our Diana Wings Velour Wrap for a few years already. As with the wrap I didn't want the lace wings to just be hidden at home, then the swimsuit was even more perfect to flaunt in front of everyone on the beach or at the pool.

Before I ended up with wings, I played with many shapes. But the wings just stood out from all the others. The French lace wings are made completely by hand in our studio in Tallinn. Our seamstress extraordinaire Ilona has become quite a master in sculpting them over the years.

But noteworthy is also the material the swimsuit is made of. Originating from Italy, it's really strong, stretchy and tucks everything in nicely. It's made with UV UPF 50+ for that extra sun protection.


Wings Swimsuit is the perfect Kriss Soonik piece. It's classic yet cool, it celebrates the female form and delivers you the unexpected.
