Fridays with Kriss: Happy 17th birthday, Kriss Soonik!

What I’ve realised (especially over the past few years) is that I genuinely love my job. I love running Kriss Soonik. I love designing the collections.

And somehow… I haven’t lost that spark. The business is always changing, I’m always changing - but I think I stumbled on something I truly love.

Another thing I’ve learnt: I love the business side just as much as the designing. And after years of thinking about it (years!), on our 17th birthday I’m finally taking the step and starting a separate account to share my entrepreneurial journey.

Over the years I’ve mentored fashion start-ups and designers, and spoken at events and conferences - and the same questions keep coming up. I also know I’ll never be the person who tells anyone what to do. I’d rather share my stories how I got from A to B and be a cheerleader on the side with a "you can do it" attitude.

So that’s what this new account will be: what I´ve learnt over the years, what I’m learning every day, what inspires me, what keeps me motivated, real-life behind the scenes of running a fashion brand.
