Fridays with Kriss: The Joy in What We Wear

I'm a fashion designer. I don't cure diseases or save the world. But here's what I do believe...

We dress the women who are looking for the cure for cancer. We dress the women who fight for human rights, who lead teams, who care for others, who create change in their communities. And if my designs can make their day a bit more fun and playful? That means everything to me.

I truly believe that clothes can bring you joy. Every morning, I love the ritual of dressing up for the day ahead (even when I work from home). The clothes I choose set the mood - they're like armour, like a love letter to myself, like a promise of what the day could hold. If I look in the mirror and see someone else staring back? I'll change. I have to feel fully me.

Fashion isn't frivolous. It's personal. It's powerful. It's the way we show up in the world. When you slip into something that makes you feel like yourself you carry that energy with you.

So no, I don't save lives. But I do hope that what I create adds a little more joy, a little more colour, a little more you to your everyday.
